Last updated September 21, 2026. The Julenissen Door is a small family business. We collect only what we need to send you a kit and answer your questions, and we never sell your information.
Who we are
The Julenissen Door is operated by Bethany C. Webb. Our mailing address is PO Box 13, Iron Station, NC 28080, and you can reach us any time at thejulenissendoor@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Order information: your name, email address, billing address, and shipping address, along with the number of kits you ordered and the amount you paid.
- Payment information: your card details are entered directly into Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe processes and stores your card number. We never see it and it is never stored on our site.
- Email list: if you join our waitlist, we store your email address so we can tell you when kits return.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, so we can help you.
- Basic site data: standard technical information your browser sends, such as pages visited, used to keep the site working and secure.
How we use it
We use your information to process and ship your order, send receipts and tracking, handle returns and refunds, respond to questions, and if you asked for it, let you know about restocks. We do not use your information for anything else.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share only what is necessary with the services that make the shop run:
- Stripe, to take payment and issue refunds.
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your kit.
- Our website and database hosting provider, which stores order records securely.
- Law enforcement or regulators, only if we are legally required to do so.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as needed for customer service, tax, and accounting purposes, typically seven years. Email list entries are kept until you ask to be removed.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask to be removed from our email list at any time. Write to thejulenissendoor@gmail.com and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union and United Kingdom, you may have additional rights such as the right to a copy of your data or to object to certain uses. We honor those requests too, and we will never discriminate against you for making one.
Cookies
Our site uses only the cookies and local storage needed to make the site and the secure checkout work. We do not run advertising trackers.
Security
Payments are handled over an encrypted connection by Stripe, a certified payment processor. Order records are stored in a protected database that only we can access. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable care with the small amount of information we hold.
Children
Our kits are made for families, but the shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Where we ship
We currently sell and ship only within the lower 48 United States. Orders placed from Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, or outside the United States are refunded in full.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally.
